Star Plus’s top rated show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is in news yet again, this time the news is bad though. Past few months the rumors of the main lead Karan Mehra who essayed the role of Akshara’s husband Naitik leaving the show were quite high. Karan has always denied the exit rumors in the past, but this time around the rumors have proved to be true with Karan himself confirming the same.
Karan Mehra confirms theexit
Looks like the final nail in the coffin is be put through with Karan Mehra posting a heart touching message through his official Facebook account.
Through the message he not only thanked his loyal fans who made him a synonym with his character Naitik on the show but also shared his struggle story before he started with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. In the message he even dedicated his career success and whatever he is today to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Naitik. Karan was a part of the show since its beginning in 2009.
Naitik to be kidnapped on the show
The track of the show will now take a twist and show Naitik being kidnapped by his own brother Naman. The exact reason behind his exist is still unknown but some online reports have suggested that it is because of his persistent health issues which have forced him to take the difficult decision.
Apparently reports suggest that his doctors have asked him to take complete bed rest as the unending shooting schedules have taken a toll on his health for a long time now. He apparently was ignoring his health for the longest and the damage to his health has now reached to dangerous level.
Not only is Karan Mehra himself emotional about his exit, his wife Nisha Rawal too posted an emotional message about Karan’s decision on a social networking platform.
A challenge for the makers
Though it is really sad for the fans, we can just wish and hope that Karan gets well soon and finds success in all his future endeavors. For now we all will really miss Karan’s portrayal of Naitik. It will also be interesting to see how the makers of the show now keep loyal Karan Mehra fans still interested in the show following his exit.
