The final Divergent movie will premier on March 11th of 2016. But the trailer has already been released. This Film follows the adventures of Tris Prior one last time, after Insurgent (2015) and Divergent (2014).
The series are an adaptation of Veronica Roth's novels. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic Chicago where everyone is sorted into different factions, based on their personality. There's Abnegation, Dauntless, Erudite, Amity and Candor. But Tris - our hero - doesn't have a plain personality and can't be sorted into just one faction. She's Divergent.
And so the series follow her as she tries to figure out what to do. Besides the trilogy, Veronica Roth also wrote another book with some episodes from the male protagonist point of view - Four: A Divergent Collection.
After Divergent and Insurgent, the time has come for the final book to reach the screens. Tris, Four and the rest of the old gang decide to venture into the world outside the fence. Once they leave Chicago, they are taken into custody by a mysterious agency. Tris will now find out more about the factions and the world she used to live in, before having to face some difficult choices.
In Allegiant, Shailene Woodley is still the leading actress and is joined once again by Theo James (Underworld), who plays Four; Zoe Kravitz (Mad Max), as Cristina; Miles Teller (Whiplash), as Peter; and Ansel Elgort (The Fault in Our Stars), portraying Caleb.
But there's also some new names such as Naomi Watts (The Impossible) and Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber).
In the trailer, we can already see some exciting things as the heroes reach the agency's installations and learn how to deal with those people to whom they have to prove themselves to. Tris finally understands fully what it means to be Divergent and the weight that's on her shoulders.
Chicago needs to be saved. And a lot of that saving depends on her.
Allegiant is still a few months away but if the campaign is anything like the Insurgent one, then soon enough we will be hearing more news from The Divergent series.
