Looks like Bollywood superstars are paying Indian Television screen a surprise visit this monsoon. After the actress Sonakshi Sinha graced the judging panel of 'Indian Idol Season Junior', now we hear that Shahid Kapoor will be replacing Madhuri Dixit as a judge on the popular dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".
Shahid is well known for his dance moves and considered as one of the most graceful dancers amongst his contemporaries. Also looking at his past movies, we can definitely say that he can dance and judge a dance show without any iota of doubt.
Along with Shahid Kapoor, the other judges in the current season of Jhalak Dikhhla Ja will be ace choreographer Ganesh Hegde and the sophisticated film director Karan Johar. Ganesh Hedge is well known for the dance moves he rendered in movies like "Koi Mil Gaya" and "Khamoshi: The Musical", amongst many others.
Apparently this is not the only thing keeping Shahid in the news these days with gossip about his marriage spreading like fire and everyone still waiting for him to make an official announcement about it. Madhuri who has judged the previous season is apparently taking a sabbatical for some time and has hinted that she will be back in a short amount of time with a more exciting proposition.
The show showcases celebrity contestants pairing with their choreographer partners to perform magical dancing acts on stage. The eight season of Jhalak is going to be one of the most anticipated seasons of the series not only due to Shahid's presence but also because of the contestants which include big names from the Indian television industry.
Shahid's next film is also creating ripples across news mediums because of his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan's presence in the movie. Though they don't have any scenes together, the coincidence is being talked about a lot.
The eight season of the show which will air in July 2015 featuring Shamita Shetty, Radhika Madan, Sanaya Irani, Kavita Kaushik, Ashish Chowdhry and Faisal Khan, amongst many other contestants. We will have to wait and see how the season unveils and if it attracts the viewers, till then keep dancing!
