Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, former Miss World and acclaimed Indian actress, made a mark at the Festival De Cannes with her sheer resplendent look and glamour. She made the most of her Cannes outing this year which was her 14th visit as the brand ambassador for L'oreal Paris. Aishwarya released the first look of the action thriller Jazbaa and also participated in the UN Woman summit, discussing the increasing sexism in showbiz.

Jazbaa, directed by Sanjay Gupta who had earlier made the Film Kaante, will have Aishwarya on the big screen after a hiatus of five years.

She had taken a sabbatical post delivery of her daughter Aradhya, who has accompanied her at Cannes. Jazbaa features acclaimed actors such as Shabana Azmi and Irrfan Khan. The poster of Jazbaa revealed Aishwarya in a fiery mode and dropped a hint that the film is an action thriller; it also heightened the curiosity of film lovers and remained a trending topic on Twitter. Fans applauded the grand comeback which will have Aishwarya in a completely new character. Official remake of Korean film Seven Days, Jazbaa is slated to be released on October 9, 2015.

Organised by UN Women's HeforShe campaign, Aishwarya participated in the discussion 'Women in Motion', where she talked about the changing outlook of the audience towards women oriented films.

Aishwarya shared the stage with American-Mexican actress Salma Hayek, Elisabeth Karlsen, Christine Vauchon and Parker Posey.

Aishwarya, 41, mesmerised her fans in a stunning designer outfit. She wore a floral Sabyasachi creation for the Women's summit, while she picked a fabulous maroon strapless Oscar de la Renta gown for the launch of Jazbaa poster.

She again set the red carpet afire with her stunning Ralph and Russo dress at the Palais Des Festival. Emerging as the photographers' delight, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam star also spent time on the play area of French Reviera with daughter Aradhya.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Davdas, opposite Shah Rukh Khan, was the film that had brought Aishwarya to Cannes.

The film was screened at Cannes in 2002, when Aishwarya had kicked a storm with her traditional look.

The promotional poster of the film Heroine starring Aishwarya in the lead and directed by Madhur Bhandarkar was released at 64th Cannes Film Festival, in 2011. Aishwarya could not play the lead owing to her pregnancy, the titular role was finally played by actress Kareena Kapoor.
