Cockatoo removes anti-nesting spikes

A cockatoo in Katoomba, Australia, made headlines when it was captured on video, methodically removing anti-nesting spikes on a ledge in a shopping centre. A video shared to Facebook by Isaac Sherring-Tito shows the hardworking bird as it moves along the wall, slowly but surely removing a series of spikes and dropping them to the ground. When the camera points down to the ground, several other spikes can be seen. This bird has been a busy boy.

Person chugs mouthwash, spits it back into bottle in Walmart

Bameron Nicole Smith has had 17.3 million views of this video, taken in a local Walmart. While it looks totally disgusting, viewers should note she later posted an image of a till slip, where she had purchased the mouthwash. This just leaves the question, "Why?"

White supremacist tries to burn down a synagogue, burns himself instead

You just can’t make up these stories. An Exeter man, Tristan Morgan, 52, is a white supremacist, who has received an indefinite hospital order after pleading guilty to arson. He tried to set fire to a synagogue, but ended up setting himself on fire. Should he be released, he will be subject to long-term monitoring by the police.

Family fills up paddling pool to cool down, floods entire home

Let’s face it, it’s been hot lately. So hot, one family in Nottinghamshire decided to fill up the paddling pool for a cooling dip. Only thing is, they attached the hose to their kitchen tap, which turned out to be a mistake. The water backed up in the hose and caused the tank in their loft to overflow, completely flooding their home. Now they have a huge problem trying to dry the whole place out again. It seems you should rather use your garden tap!
