While often thought of as the place to fly into on a Costa del Sol holiday, Malaga is more than an airport. Among its many attractions are many Museums, some featuring art, history, archaeology and more.
However, the city also has several speciality museums which are out of the ordinary and loads of fun to experience. Five of them are listed below.
Museo Interactivo de la Musica (MIMMA) (Interactive Music Museum) - C/Beatas 15,| Palacio Conde de las Navas, Malaga, Spain
MIMMA gives visitors the opportunity to connect firsthand with the museum. There is a great collection of musical instruments from different eras and from all over the world. Enter the “please play” rooms to learn about the instruments through interactive experiments and experiences.
Museo del Vidrio y Cristal de Malaga (Museum of Glass and Crystal) - Plaza Aduana s/n, Malaga, Spain
The Museum offers an archaeological floor which exhibits fascinating layers of history found beneath Malaga from Phoenician times to the 20th century. In what looks like a private home, there are glass, crystal and other ancient artefacts, tombs and mosaic floors. One floor of the building hosts the city art collection.
