5 new and returning shows and films coming to Netflix in March

“The OA” created a buzz when it came out on Netflix last year and many fans wondered if it would continue after the cliff-hanger of an ending. Continue it will, as Brit Marling once again stars in and helps produce season two of the science fiction mystery show. Welcome to an alternate dimension where Prairie and her friends live a different life. Co-producer Zal Batmangli describes season two as more than a noir series, with a cynical detective involved. "No one survives alone."

Michelle Yeoh (“Star Trek: Discovery”) stars in a hit, action-movie, a story that is set in 19th-century Qing-dynasty China. It deals with the fantasy of freedom for women, old-school fighting traditions and love and duty. It also brought to the world perennial Chinese actors like Chang Chen and Zhang Ziyi and other Chinese and Hong Kong stars.

Stanley Kubrick’s controversial film adaptation of the decline-of-civilisation novel by Anthony Burgess is still as chilling and thrilling as it was in the past, with its dystopian vision of social control and nihilistic violence. The film will also be returning to the cinemas on 5 April, but will be first on Netflix on 1 March.

Based on a true story, the film features a 13-year-old boy in Malawi who can no longer go to the school he loves because his parents cannot afford the fees. A drought has devastated their farm and there is no water and no money for food. He goes to a library to learn how to build a wind turbine to save his village.

This family drama features Kathleen Robertson and William Baldwin. After his wife, Sarah, dies, John West takes his three children from their normal life back to his small hometown, where he takes charge of the local search-and-rescue service. His family struggles to settle down, but their aunt helps the family heal, while coping with the loss of her sister.
