Prince Charles will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle at her wedding on May 19th. Kensington Palace issued the statement and it was carried by the Independent. Prince Charles will stand in for Meghan Markle's father who, for a number of reasons, will not be attending the royal wedding.
According to the Telegraph, "The ceremony will omit the traditional moment of "giving away," where the presiding Archbishop asks: "Who giveth this woman to be married to this man?"
The statement said, "Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St George's Chapel on her Wedding Day.
The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way."

Prince Charles and Prince Phillip will be at Meghan's wedding
Prince Charles is very much a gentleman, as can be seen from the statement. Those who are anti-monarchy who may be giggling about Meghan's father and have been a bit scathing over his photo scandal and his heart problems, might well take note of the pure class in the statement.
There were some rumoured relationship issues between Meghan and her father, and if this is true, it looks like Meghan has found someone to take his place.
Apart from the fact that Prince Charles will walk Meghan down the aisle at her wedding, it was also reported by the Independent that it has also been confirmed that Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, will also attend.
Fans of Harry and Meghan may recall that the wedding was set earlier than is usual to ensure that Prince Harry's grandfather would be able to attend. The Express reported last month that he underwent hip surgery and was desperately hoping he would be ready to attend the wedding. He and Harry are reportedly close.

Meghan and Prince Harry's honeymoon
After the wedding, Prince Harry and Meghan will depart on their honeymoon and they will be going to Namibia, EyeWitness News reported.
The country is simply breathtaking and they are sure to enjoy their quiet time together.
The same media outlet has reported that "South African airline Kulula.com has invited Britain’s Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle to take a “sho’tRight” and pop over to experience a honeymoon Mzansi style," in South Africa. They are hoping the couple will accept their invitation to travel for free to the country after their time in Namibia.
