Taylor likely to come in as Kiwis aim for a series whitewash

Ross Taylor, who had to miss the previous match due to a hip injury, has been declared fit and is expected to come back right into the XI. As New Zealand has won this series, they could slot in some players from the bench such as Todd Astle. Tom Bruce, who scored a brilliant fifty in the last match, is expected to give a fitness before the match.

Hamish Rutherford has been called into the squad as an injury cover.

Kusal Mendis ruled out of the third T20I

Kusal Mendis and Sheehan Jayasuriya had a tragic collision in the last match which has led both of them to get ruled out of the final T20I. Danushka Gunathilaka is likely to replace Kusal Mendis in the opening position while Lahiru Madushanka is likely to make his debut.

He is expected to get a chance ahead of Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha.

Rain is expected to be around the corner during the final T20I but it is not likely to have a great impact on the match. Batting hasn't been that easy in this series but still, big hitters have got their way out so far. The bowlers, especially spinners, will enjoy bowling on this surface with the ball expected to turn a lot.
