Tottenham are considering a summer move for Juventus striker Paulo Dybala, according to the Evening Standard.
For Tottenham, luring the Argentina international would require breaking their transfer record fee, for the second time this transfer window, as Juve has put a high price tag on Dybala of £80m.
The latest transfer news: Dybala to Juventus
Dybala is considered one of the world's best strikers, but he has been a victim of the move to Turin from Cristiano Ronaldo to just 5 goals in the previous Seria A season.
The Italian side is believed to be ready to listen to offers for the 25-year-old offers and, while extremely ambitious, Spurs find it highly likely that an agreement could be reached within the last two weeks of the transfer window.
The former Palermo man played a huge part in Argentina getting a bronze medal this summer at the Copa America, scoring the winner in the 2-1 win against Chile. However, the skilled ace will now return to his current club, and it is believed that he will no longer be a permanent start under fresh boss Maurizio Sarri, in the aftermath of a disappointing season.
In Italy, it is believed that the arrival of superstar Ronaldo to Turin last summer, affected the form of Dybala.
As a result, Tottenham have been closely monitoring the situation with Pochettino's countryman, although previously priced at more than £100m, they believe that he could be lured away from the Allianz Stadium for less.
Dybala, who surprisingly has only one appearance at the World Cup, would be a huge leap forward in offensive terms, considering the fact that he would create a high-quality bond with Kane. The 25-year-old Argentine man could play as a second striker behind the British prolific attacker, ahead with him or in a wider position, and surely would be able to carry the weight on the Spurs star
Could the Dybala be the ideal solution for Spurs
In the past, when Kane was out of the start XI, the White Hart Lane side had tried to fill the gap he left by bringing backup players.
Both of their latest arrivals, Llorente and Janssen, are not part of Pochettino's team anymore, with one of Lucas and Son regarded to be the ideal primary partner for Kane.
Only this week, Janssen moved to Mexico, in an £8m Monterrey transfer, whilst Llorente has left on a Bossman deal. In the event that the veteran striker can not find a good offer elsewhere this summer, Spurs have prepared a new contract for him, only this time, on reduced terms.
Furthermore, Daniel Levy's squad currently includes the services of a number of other Argentinian players, such as Lamela and Foyth, who played with Dybala at the Copa America, and goalkeeper Gazzaniga, while Spurs are also keen on signing Lo Celso.
