The mother of all Cricket battles will happen on Sunday, 16 June 2019 when arch-rivals India and Pakistan will cross swords in yet another epic battle in Manchester.

It will be match number 5 for the Indians, and they have won three of their four encounters while one match was abandoned due to rain. Pakistan is raring for their encounter with the Indians against whom they are to yet register their first victory in any World Cup.

Ahead of the match, Pakistani speedster Mohammed Amir made a bold statement that his team can easily defeat the Indians and he has some unique tricks up his sleeves to tackle the Indian batting.

High-octane match

The India-Pakistan match is one of the most eagerly awaited events characterized by packed houses and high octane drama. It is one of those rivalries which percolate into the psyche of every fan of both India and Pakistan.

The India –Pakistan match is also a big money spinner and contributes a lot to the coffers both the country’s Cricket Boards.

The weather could play spoilsport

The only villain who is feared by both the teams is the weather.

Weather forecast for Sunday is not very good, and this is something which has plagued the ICC World Cup 2019 with four matches already abandoned due to rain. However, Pakistan will be losing more if the game is abandoned since India is already at third position after counting the match abandoned due to rain against New Zealand.

For India, the loss of Shikhar Dhawan for the all-important match against Pakistan is a huge handicap. However, it will be a do or die game for Pakistan. It has only one win from four, and the abandoned match against Sri Lanka has not helped its cause.

On the other hand, if India wins against Pakistan, it will reach an unassailable second position just below New Zealand.
