Australia likely to stick to the same unit
Australia has had an interesting way of choosing their XI during this World Cup. Nathan Coulter-Nile was their first choice as the third pacer for a long time into the time but Jason Behrendorff's fifer against England at the Lord's means he should be getting a chance ahead of Coulter-Nile against the Kiwis.
Other than this, Nathan Lyon has bowled well in the previous match but went wicketless. Lyon could hold his spot as Adam Zampa hasn't really come to the party for the Aussies in this tournament.
Basically, Australia could go with an unchanged side for this match.
Kiwis expected to change their XI for the first time in this tournament
Apart from Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson, rest of the New Zealand batsmen have really struggled in this tournament. Tom Latham, Colin Munro and Martin Guptill have hardly scored runs and the Kiwis will be mindful of that.
Henry Nicholls is the most likely candidate to come into the side ahead of this clash and it is expected that he will don the wicket-keeping gloves as well. Ish Sodhi is another bowler who could come into the side in place of Mitchell Santner.
By the time the match starts in the afternoon, the pitch at Lord's would have got an ample amount of sunshine which could make the surface dry.
This will surely invite the spinners into the play.
The tinge of green of the surface will also give the seamers a sniff. The weather is expected to be completely dry and batting would be easier during the day.
