Bangladesh and New Zealand will clash on 5 June 2019 at The Oval. Statistics show that New Zealand is the hot favorites since they have never lost any World Cup match against the Bangladesh team in the past. It will be the ninth match of the ICC World Cup 2019 schedule.
However, the Bangladesh team is not the team of the past and is a tightly knit team with players capable of turning the course of the matches on their own. Their victory against South Africa amply proves this point, and New Zealand can take them lightly at their peril.

Both teams equally placed
Both the teams are equal when it comes to points and have won one match each, New Zealand subduing Sri Lanka and Bangladesh outclassing the Proteas Team.
Their comprehensive victories have ensured that they cannot be written off and could prove to be a dark horse in the World Cup.
Bangladesh yet to defeat the Kiwis in any World Cup match.
The Kiwis have an excellent record against the Bangladesh team. Since the last World Cup, the Kiwis have played the Bangladesh nine times and won seven of these encounters.
However, Bangladesh had comprehensively defeated the Kiwis in the 2017 Champions Trophy at Cardiff by five wickets.

The pace attack the mainstay for Kiwis
The Kiwis have a formidable pace attack and the weather in England is much akin to the weather in New Zealand.
The Kiwis will use the windy conditions to their maximum advantage. Aggressive pace bowling could be the strategy though it failed in the South Africa /Bangladesh match. South African fast bowlers bowled a barrage of short-pitched deliveries which were tackled beautifully by the openers in the form of Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar. New Zealand could also go for the same tactic or devise some other course of action.
Spin a cause of worry
For the Kiwis, the spin department is a cause of worry. Spin played a significant role in their defeat at Cardiff, and this fact must be bearing down in the mind of the New Zealand skipper. Bangladesh has a significant advantage in this area. Both Shakib and Mehidy Hasan are wicket taking spin bowlers whereas the Kiwi has just one part-time spinner in the form of Mitchell Santner.
