Martin Guptill back, Munro dropped

New Zealand has left out Colin Munro for the first two ODIs and the left-handed batsmen will only join the squad for the third game. Martin Guptill returns to the squad after an injury lay-off which had him miss the fifth ODI and the T20Is against India.

Ish Sodhi has been left out as well, and Todd Astle will be the only leg-spinner in the team. Rest of the side will be same as the one which played the fifth ODI against India in Wellington earlier this month.

Sabbir Rahman set to make an international comeback

Prior to the series, Bangladesh faced a big blow as Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out of the series due to an injury which he suffered during the Bangladesh Premier League final. Soumya Sarkar should retain his place in the side as the No. 3 batsmen while Imrul Kayes is likely to sit out.

Sabbir Rahman will return to international Cricket after his ban as Mashrafe Mortaza led side looks for a replacement for Shakib.

The weather should be really pleasant in Napier on Wednesday, but that's not something which the hosts will be concerned about. India bowled them out cheaply in the previous ODI here and they would know that the pitch was slower than expected.

With short square boundaries, runs could still come heavily as it has been the case at the McLean Park this summer.

The 2nd ODI will be played after two days.
