Philander to come back for the New Year's Test
Vernon Philander who recovered from his injury will return to the Proteas line-up for the Cape Town Test. According to the ESPN Cricinfo report, South African captain Faf du Plessis revealed that Vernon would come back into the side considering his record at the venue.
Keeping everything in mind, the Proteas will have to choose between Dale Steyn and Kagiso Rabada for one spot in the XI. Rest of the line-up is likely to be the same.
Haris Sohail missed out in the last game and could come back. According to the Cricbuzz report, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Abbas are fit again having recovered from their respective injuries.
Abbas may directly come back into the side in place one of the three pacers. Rest of the team should be the same.
Both the skippers had a forgetful 1st Test, becoming the first duo of Test captains to register a pair in the same Test. 🙈

The weather in Cape Town will be ideal for a great Test.
The forecast suggests sun shining atop through the five days of the match. The pitch offers ample amount of swing for the bowlers with the new ball. Hence the batsmen will have to cautious when they start their innings.
The stats don't support Pakistan as they have played three Tests at Newlands and lost all of them.
