According to the Cricbuzz report, John Campbell will make his Test debut and partner Kraigg Braithwaite at the top.
There will be a direct contest between Jomel Warrican and Alzarri Joseph for the one spot in the XI. It is unlikely that the hosts will go into with just one spinner in Roston Chase, so picking Warrican could be a way to go.
Selection conundrum continues for England
England probably has the most balanced unit in Test cricket currently, but captain Joe Root would have a hard time deciding the XI. There is uncertainty whether Stuart Broad will be picked ahead of Sam Curran or both will play alongside James Anderson. Now, this could England playing only one spinner, Moeen Ali. Jake Leach and Adil Rashid are also in the ranks, so it will be interesting to see what combination they choose.
The Barbados pitch is not known to produce high-scoring Tests. According to the Cricbuzz report, the wicket will have lesser bounce and pace. Additionally, it will be a slow pitch so reverse swing and spin could come in handy. The forecast is seemingly fair for the first couple of days, but rains are expected on day three, four and five.
