Shakib in doubt for the first T20I

The home team will be fairly confident after having successes in the two formats already. Mohammad Mithun and Mohammad Saifuddin have been added to the 15-member squad while there is a cloud of concerns over their captain, Shakib Al Hasan. According to the Cricbuzz report, Shakib got hit in the toe during the practice session and could miss the first game if he fails to recover in time.

Windies have made several changes to their T20I squad from the last series against India. Carlos Braithwaite will be leading the side as opener Evin Lewis comes back into the mix again after being away from international cricket for some time. Sheldon Cottrell, Kesrick Williams, and Sherfane Rutherford are the other new additions to the squad.

The first T20I will be played at the same venue where the last ODI was played a few days back. The pitch was slow in the day but got better for batting as the game moved along. The match was rescheduled to 12:30 PM after issues with the floodlights. There is no threat of rain at all; hence its going to be a good game of cricket.
