Pakistan tour of South Africa 2018-19 will open with the Boxing Day Test starting on December 26, 2018, at the SuperSport Park in Centurion, Gauteng. The first day's play will begin at 10:00 AM SAST, 8:00 AM GMT, 1:00 PM PST.
The second Test will be played in Cape Town from January 3, 2019, while the final game will start on January 11 in Johannesburg. The Test series will be followed by a five-match ODI series beginning in Port Elizabeth on January 19. The tour will conclude with three T20Is during the first week of February.

Philander and Abbas ruled out for the Boxing Day Test
Vernon Philander will miss the first Test due to a thumb injury while Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the entire series. Dane Paterson has been drafted into the 13-man squad, but Duanne Oliver is likely to get a nod for the boxing day Test.
According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, Temba Bavuma has been struggling with his hamstring, and if he is not fit in time, then Zubayr Hamza will make his Test debut.

Pakistan faces a major setback in the tour opener with Mohammad Abbas, and Shadab Khan ruled out of the first Test.
Fakhar Zaman was declared fit and will open the innings with Imam-ul-Haq. Mohammad Amir will return to the XI while Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali will be the other two pacers in the line-up.

Even though there will be hot and sunny conditions for the first two days, some rain and thunderstorms are expected around the day four or five. The Centurion pitch has been surprising in recent times, with spinners getting some help from the surface.
