The Old Trafford Stadium will light up once again on Saturday, October 6, 2018, when Manchester United host Newcastle United in a Premier League game. The kick-off is scheduled at 17:30 BST, 16:30 GMT.

Manchester United has been in the news for some time, especially due to their poor performances in the recent times. The 2018-19 season has been a great one, in fact, it is their worst start to a season since 2012-13. Having collected only 10 points from their seven games, United is struggling at the 10th position on the Premier League points table.

Newcastle United are also going through a rough patch. Having accumulated only two points from seven games this season, the club is really struggling at the 18th position on the points table of the Premier League.

Young and Jones expected to return

Experienced campaigner Ashley Young is expected to return to the Manchester United side after being an absentee in the champion league game versus Valencia due to an injury.

BBC reports Phil Jones, Andreas Pereira, and Diogo Dalot are also expected to be back in the side after not getting picked for the mid-week against Valencia.

There are also reports that Marcos Rojo, Jesse Lingard, and Ander Herrera will continue to stay on the sidelines.

Newcastle United will be without the services of their main striker Salomon Rondon who will be out due to a things problem.

BBC reports, he is expected to return only later this month.

Defenders Paul Dummett and Federico Fernandez have still not recovered from their hamstring issues, while full-back James Sterry will be out due to an injury as well.
