After the thrilling tie in Vizag, India and Windies will clash again in the third ODI at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The match will be starting at 1:30 PM IST, 8:00 AM GMT.
India is leading the five-match series 1-0, after clinching the first ODI in Guwahati by eight wickets. The second game in Vizag was complete see-saw battle which ended in a tie.
India batted first and scored 321 for six from their 50 overs, on the back of Virat Kohli's 157 not out. In reply, Windies scored the exact same score at the loss of an extra wicket. Shai Hope, who scored 123 runs, hit a four off the last ball to ensure that the match ended in a tie.
Live streaming and TV details
Hotstar app and website will be streaming the series live only in certain countries. Jio TV users will also be able to watch the live streaming on their smartphone app. Star Sports channels such as Star Sports 1, Star Sports 1 Hindi and Star Sports select will be televising the match live on their network.
Bhuvi and Bumrah back in the side
India has recalled the regular pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhubaneshwar Kumar for the last three ODI game. According to Cricbuzz, Mohammad Shami has been rested for these games, hence we might see at least two changes in the Indian XI for the third game. Bumrah and Kumar might replace Umesh Yadav and Shami as the lead pacers in the XI, while the rest of the side is expected to be the same looking at the squad.
Windies has a balanced unit and their performance in this series has been really good, especially their batting. Their bowling is slightly on the weaker side, but they are unlikely to alter anything.
Obed McCoy bowled well on his debut in the last game and is expected to retain his spot in the XI.
The tie in the last game would give Windies a lot of confidence, majorly because it came on the back two really batting performances from Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer.
Another high-scoring game in store
If you had to pick a phrase to describe the pitch in Pune, it would be batting paradise. The track has seen some high-scoring games, but lately, the track has produced some slow paced games. In 2017, Pune had hosted two ODIs.
The one against England saw India chase down 350 runs, while the one against New Zealand saw the hosts chase 230 in 46 overs. Whatever, the pitch shows up on Saturday, it is needless to say the side chasing will be favourites. Also, the weather in Pune should be pleasant for a cricket match with no expected rain.
