Afghanistan will take on Bangladesh in the second T20 game on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. The match will be played in Dehradun, India. Afghanistan is currently leading the three-match series 1-0 having won the first game by 45 runs.
Afghanistan squad update
They are unlikely to make any changes to their line-up from the last game. The team led by Asghar Stanikzai will depend again on the spin trio of Rashid Khan, Mujib Ur Rehman, and Md Nabi to deliver, as the conditions are supposed to be in favour of the spinners.
A victory in this game will assure them a series win.
Rashid Khan who became the second Afghan bowler to take 50 wickets in T20Is on Sunday, has a strike-rate of 13.5 in the shortest format of the game. Can he deliver one more time today and help his country win a historic series?
Bangladesh team news
Their captain Shakib Al Hasan said on the eve of the match that they need to make drastic improvements going into the second game if they want to keep the series alive.
Cricbuzz quoted the skipper as saying, "'We have to focus on various areas and make drastic improvements. "They are a good side. In all three departments - batting, bowling and fielding they were ahead of us.
They just crushed us in every department."
They might still go unchanged into this match and hope the players step up to the expectations. They would hope the seniors and the captain himself deliver in this game.
Meanwhile, their head coach the West Indian legend Courtney Walsh is reportedly frustrated with Mustafizur's injury. He is out for four weeks with a hairline fracture in his foot. He got injured while trying to stop the ball at the boundary line in the recently concluded Indian Premiere League on May 20.
