Afghanistan is all set to face Bangladesh in the three-match T20I series starting on Sunday, June 3, 2018. The series is being held at Afghanistan's adopted home ground, Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. Bangladesh has won the toss. They will be bowling first.

The match is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM IST or 7:00 PM AFT or 2 PM GMT.

Team News

Afghanistan: They are coming to this series without the services of their lead pacer Dawlat Zadran. Star spinner Rashid Khan has joined the team just in time before the series starts, while it is uncertain whether Mujeeb Ur Rahman will feature in this match after the wrist injury he suffered during the IPL.

The rest of the Afghanistan side led by Asghar Stanikzai looks really solid with experienced campaigners such as Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, and others.

It will be interesting to see if IPL star Rashid Khan will make the same impact in this series.

Bangladesh: Like Afghanistan, their lead pacer Mustaphizur Rahman is also out with injury but captain Shakib Al Hasan reckons this will give other young players an opportunity to stand up. Rest of their team is quite strong as this will be their first series since the Nidahas Trophy. Bangladesh also has a very experienced side with the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Weather and pitch

The weather is expected to be on the brighter side as the temperatures will be as high as 30°C.

There are minimum chances of rain, so it might be the biggest concern.

The pitch at this stadium has never been used for an international game, but it is expected to be on the slower side.
