The Third and final test is being played between Sri Lanka and India at the Ferozahah Kotla in Delhi. The Lanka team has been at the receiving end against Kohli. The player applied himself and has now emerged as the best batsman in the world in the present age. He compares favorably with the greats of the past like Lara and Viv Richards. Kohli has established many records which will ensure that his name lives forever. Kohli's record as captain of the Indian team will be difficult to emulate. He is the first Indian captain to have hit double centuries. Kohli has already hit six double hundreds and looks good for another 10 more and that will take him ahead of the great Don Bradman who had 11 scores of over 200.

Kohli is rested for the three-match one-day series commencing after this test against Sri Lanka but he may be back for the 20-20 matches. At the end of the year, the Indian team embarks on a tour of South Africa. India has never won a series against the South Africans on their home ground and this time with Kohli in sublime form backed by a good bowling attack, including pace bowlers, the chances of India winning are bright.
Kohli is the darling of the masses and media and his romance with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is followed avidly by his fans. Cricket fans are expecting a lot from Kohli on his maiden captaincy test against South Africa, but the South Africans would have made preparations to counter the Indian batting machine.
