Surprising many

Antonio Conte will win his 4th successive league title with 2 matches to spare should his Chelsea side beat West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Friday.

The Blues need just 3 points from their last 3 games to be crowned Premier League Champions after Tottenham came undone at West ham on their last outing.

The West London team have looked like potential winners for large parts of the season despite a faltering start for Conte at Stamford Bridge.

Few would have predicted such a convincing route thus far with Pep Guardiola at the helm of Manchester City and a Jose Mourinho looking for redemption in the red half of Manchester.

Conte has taken a chaotic Chelsea side to the brink of a historic title in what fans and pundits predicted to be the most competitive Premier League season ever.

"To arrive at this moment, with this great opportunity, we worked very hard for the whole season and now it's important to be ready and try to take this step and then to celebrate together." said Conte ahead of the West Brom clash.

The 47-year old Italian went on to comment on his future in London with reports of interest from Inter, saying he wants to 'improve' his work for Chelsea during the next two years of the contract.

Chelsea want Premier League and FA Cup double

The ex-Juventus manager will expect nothing less than a victory to claim the Premier League before they prepare for the FA Cup Final on 27th May.

If all goes to plan the FA Cup final should give Chelsea a shot at claiming the double against an unpredictable Arsenal.

It will not be easy to see a clear winner at Wembley with Arsene Wenger getting the better of Conte during a 3-0 win earlier in the season.

That loss became a catalyst for change as Conte imposed himself at Stamford Bridge by dropping John Terry and moving to a back 3 formation.

The new look style included the seemingly more reliable Brazilian defender David Luiz who was originally much maligned on his return to the club. Victor Moses was reintroduced as a right wing back whilst N'golo Kante is looking to take back to back league titles following his heroics at Leicester City.

Rejouvinated, Eden Hazard has sparkled with extra freedom, scoring 15 goals and creating another 5 so far in the league this season.

The Belgium playmaker has admitted that he wants to add a Ballon d'Or to his trophy cabinet alongside the league and cup double.

Both Conte and Hazard maintain they are prepared to fight for honours and European glory at Chelsea despite repeated rumoured interest from abroad.

One thing is for sure, The Blues will be disappointed with anything less than two pieces of silverware this season.
