Mohammed Hafeez to lead Pakistan

After Azhar Ali sustained a hamstring injury, Mohammad Hafeez will lead the Pakistan cricket team in the second ODI.

One can only hope that Azhar is fit to play in Sydney and Adelaide. Hafeez is a senior player and accepted the call of his motherland and Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board request to lead the side in the absence of Azhar Ali.

The visitors are already one down in the five-match ODI series. It lost to the hosts by 92 runs on Friday in the first ODI played at Gabba on Friday.

The visitors were well placed and had the hosts under control and tottering at 78 for 5 when Wade and Glenn Maxwell (60) put on 82 runs for the sixth wicket to make amends.

However, the visitors were not able to sustain the pressure and also missed sorely the services of skipper Azhar Ali who injured his hamstring.
