They split as early as November
However, an anonymous source believes the split may have been discussed as early as Halloween, as Orlando confessed to close friends he was thinking about ending the relationship in November 2016. The source also said he cited his own unwillingness to settle down as his main concern.
Bloom, 40, already has a 6-year-old son with ex Miranda Kerr, whom he broke up with in 2013. Perry, 32, divorced comedian Russell Brand in 2012 after a short two-year marriage.
Both he and Perry attended the UNICEF Gala in late November last year, where Perry was presented an award by Hilary Clinton.
Perry arrived with writer Blasberg
Fans will be shocked over the split, as Bloom shared a selfie with Perry's puppy 'Butters' on Instagram just days ago. The pair were also spotted at Vanity Fair's after Oscars Part on the 26th. However, suspicions were aroused when Perry chose to walk to the bash with New York Times best-seller Derek Blasberg.
The split certainly ends the engagement rumours surrounding the pair, and representatives for the couple have confirmed the amicable split. to US Weekly earlier today.
Both Perry and Bloom have remained silent about the split on social media.
Perry, who performed at the 2017 Grammy Awards earlier this year, is currently focusing on her new single Chained to the Rhythm, which is sitting at number one in the U.K Charts. The track also broke Spotify records, with more than 3 million streams in the first 24 hours, making it the best first day of a single track by a female artist.
Chained to the Rhythm is the lead single from Perry's upcoming fourth studio album expected later this year.
Turning up to the Vanity Fair bash without her boyfriend, Perry certainly turned heads in her Jean Paul Gaultier dress, and didn't walk away empty-handed as she posted a picture of a small 'Oscar from Sesame Street Statue' on Instagram.
Fans, however, are hoping that the notoriously private couple may simply be taking a break, as representatives state the pair are just 'taking some space', suggesting the break may only be a temporary thing. Onlookers at the Vanity Fair party, however, noted that the couple barely spoke or saw each other and that photos together were only taken as 'a formality'.
