In this article today I will be bringing you up to date with all the celebrity and TV/film news from around the world.

Celebrity news

Where else to start other than the women's protest against Donald Trump that took place across the world. Up to two million people worldwide, mostly women, took part in protests against the new President Donald Trump, The Guardian newspaper said. Amongst those turning out were a number of famous faces. These included Katy Perry who stated according to OK magazine that she was there "to break the cycle of suppression and inequality", Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw tweeted "great happy vibes today in London" whilst Drew Barrymore took to Instagram to say "I am full of pride and unity with all women today".

What the protests were mainly directed at were the numerous negative comments that Trump has made towards women over the years. The extent to how much dislike there is towards Trump is shown by the singers who turned out to perform at the new President's inauguration compared with that of his predecessor Barack Obama. Whereas the likes of Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and Stevie Wonder performed at Obama's inauguration, for Trump he was only able to call on the likes of Toby Keith and Lee Greenwood. It is clear that Trump is not too well liked.

The world of TV

In the world of TV there are also many stories to write about. The Daily Mail Online reported that actor Tom Hardy has allegedly lost around 2 million pounds sterling in making the new BBC One drama Taboo which he co-wrote, produced and starred in.

The star reportedly suffered the loss after Taboo drew in 8.4 million pounds sterling, which did not match the 10.4 million pounds sterling the show cost to make. In Celebrity Big Brother (CBB) news after both confessing that they were falling for each other, Jamie O'Hara has "put the brakes on" with Bianca Gascoigne, according to the Mirror newspaper.

It seems that the situation with his ex-wife Danielle Lloyd and their children is why he is holding back. In other CBB news Nicola McLean has apologised to Spencer Pratt following their row but as The Sun reports, "he's not in the mood for forgiveness".

The world of film

In the world of film, La La Land continues to dominate, extending their winning run at the London critics awards.

In other news as James Cameron oversees the new Terminator film, there is an exclusive clip for the much anticipated Trainspotting 2. Further on from this, there is the release of the trailer for the new Power Rangers film which comes out this year, as reported on the Empire Online website.
