2016 has been great, and now we are to welcome 2017. New Year brings lots of expectations for us. We hope that this year would bring some fantastic movies that could change the fate of the entertainment industry. Just looking at the schedule of our favorite movies makes us feel stressed, we love to know about their directors, and stars too. Here is a list of gigantic movies that are coming out in the first half of 2017.
Kong: Skull Island
“Kong: Skull Island” is one of the most anticipated Hollywood films. Jordan Vogt-Roberts has directed this American monster film.
Dan Gilroy and Max Borenstein have written its story. Let me here tell you that this movie is a reboot of the “King Kong” franchise, and would be the second film in Legendary's Godzilla–Kong film series. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, and John C. Reilly. Most of its scenes have been shot in Hawaii. The movie is scheduled to release in the United States on March 10, 2017, in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
Fifty Shades Darker
“Fifty Shades Darker” is an upcoming Hollywood flick. This romantic comedy has been directed by James Foley, and written by Niall Leonard.
The story has been inspired from a novel of the same name by E. L. James. It is the second film in the “Fifty Shades” film series, and a sequel to 2015’s “Fifty Shades of Grey.” It features Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, and Jamie Dornan has portrayed the character of Christian Grey. Most of its scenes have been shot in Paris, and Vancouver.
It is set to be released on February 10, 2017. This movie has Eloise Mumford as Katherine "Kate" Kavanagh, Eric Johnson as Jack Hyde, and Jennifer Ehle as Carla Wilks.
The Lego Batman Movie
“The Lego Batman Movie” is an upcoming American-Danish 3D computer-animated movie. The director of this superhero flick is Chris McKay. Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, have produced this gigantic project.
Seth Grahame-Smith has written the story. It is a spin-off of 2014’s “The Lego Movie.” The story revolves around the DC Comics character Batman. The voice stars are Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, and Ralph Fiennes. The film is scheduled to be released in the US on February 10, 2017. Warner Bros. would distribute this film in 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D.
