Ever wondered what all the stars showing up at awards ceremonies take home in the goodies bag? A lot of pricey stuff in an elaborate "celebrity gift bag" put together months in advance. In this year's edition of the MTV Movies Awards, hosted by Amy Schumer at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, the goody bag is better than ever.
There are 28 different items in the bag, designed by Suz-Anna Dela Rosa for MTV and Backstage Creations. Some are tasty - like the $100 chocolate donut dusted in 24 karat gold, courtesy of the gourmet Naughty Girl Donut Ship, others are designed for pure envy, like the Ernest Alexander luxury bag.
Nominees, presenters and performers are taking it home.
Here are some of the items it includes:
- Marchesa Couture Sapphire Plume Demi Cup & Saucer (dinnerware)
- Era Organics skincare products
- X1 umbrella by Knirps USA
- Malibu Jane shoes
- Reserva Exclusiva rum, by Ron Diplomático
- Calvin Klein eyewear by Marchon
- Scarlette strecht bracelet by Tarina Tarantino, limited edition Velvet Skull
- Five-night stay at the Mulia Resort & Villas in Bali's Nusa Bay
- Sterling silver and 14k gold HERO bracelet, by Ronaldo Designer Jewwlry
- Jurassic World Chomping Dino Head, from Hasbro
- CMBeachwear
Some outlets, like Radar online, are offering fans the chance to win a similar bag, after the airing of the ceremony, on Sunday April 12th - the same evening HBO premieres the fifth season of Game of Thrones and Coachella wraps up weekend one.
But MTV has secured a pretty good list of celebrities for its Movie Awards Show. The pre-show and red carpet events will be hosted by singer Jessie J, Kelly Osbourne and Josh Horowitz. Robert Downey Jr. is getting the Generation Award, while Shailene Woodley - Divergent's star - will receive the Trailblazer Award. Kevin Hart has a Comedic Genius Award coming his way.
The list of presenters include Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello, for your Magic Mike XXL needs. Zac Efron and Jamie Bell will also be presenting awards. As for the confirmed performances, the highlight is Fall Out Boy, but there will also be some rapping in the house with Fetty Wap. Charli XCX is also performing with some special guests.
Before the actual ceremony begins, MTV is airing a new episode of the insanely popular Catfish: The TV Show, which is almost public service as it demonstrates how easily people are fooled into online relationships with people who might not be what they seem.
