Bahubali 2 Tamilnadu collection: - S S Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali: The conclusion' breaks the seven-year-old record of Rajinikanth's 'Enthiran' movie in Tamilnadu. The movie grossed Rs 106.7 crores approximately by the end of its 18 days run at the box office in Tamilnadu surpassing 'Enthiran' lifetime gross collection of Rs 106 crores. Now, Bahubali 2 emerged as the Highest grossing movie in Tamilnadu. However, the movie is yet to surpass the share collection of Enthiran, which raked close to Rs 70 crores due to tax exemptions for the film.
On the other hand, Prabhas's 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' didn't have the tax advantage in Tamilnadu and hence it only minted Rs 57.3 crores distributor share in its 18 days run despite being the Highest grosser now
As the film's theatrical rights were sold for Rs 37 crores in Tamilnadu, it made a decent profit of Rs 20.3 crores for its distributors until now at the ticket window.
Bahubali 2 breaks all records except in Kerela
S S Rajamouli's fantasy revenge drama Bahubali 2 shattered all existing records at the box office in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Karnataka, Hindi, Tamilnadu except in Kerela.
In the Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the movie surpassed the existing record of Bahubali part one titled as 'Baahubali: The Beginning' which grossed Rs 175 crores in its lifetime run by minting Rs 257 crores approximately till date.
While the film surpassed Puneeth Rajkumar's 'Raajakumara' collection of Rs 78 crores approximately in Karnataka by minting Rs 95.8 crores till date to emerge as new Industry hit in the state.
From the Hindi version, Bahubali 2 minted Rs 439.75 crores nett approximately till date to emerge as new Industry hit in Bollywood. Previously, Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' used to hold the record with Rs 387.50 crores nett.
However, the film is yet to surpass the Mohanlal's 'Pulimurugan' collection of Rs 86.35 crores in the Kerela and it right now stands at Top 2 position in the Malayalam box office by grossing Rs 55.7 crores approximately at the ticket window.
