The first part of the 'Commando' movie which released on April 12th, 2013 minted only Rs 3.7 crores nett at the Indian markets and hence 'Commando 2' performed better than its 1st-part on the first day of its release. The collections were estimated to touch Rs 13 to 17 crores nett in its opening weekend.
