As per the estimate, it was known that Pawan Kalyan's 'Katamarayudu' was being made under a budget less than Rs 30 crores excluding the actor's remuneration for the film. The lead actor is going to take a share in the profit's earned for the movie which is left after compensating some amount for the 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' distributors who lost huge amount distributing his last film.
The film already did a pre-release business close to Rs 105 crores worldwide. The Theatrical rights were sold for Rs 87-89 crores and rest of the rights like satellite, audio, and others fetched around Rs 16 crores for the movie.
Thus the makers made a decent profit close to Rs 75 crores from the pre-release business.
After compensating a certain amount to 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' distributors, the remaining amount earned will be shared between the producer Sharrath Marar and the actor Pawan Kalyan.
'Katamarayudu' is releasing on March 29th
Currently, the film's shoot is in final stages and it will be wrapped by the end of February month and the filmmakers are planning to release the film on March 29th, 2017 on the eve of Ugadi festival.
