A host of 'ITV' published last friday, on Twitter, an "unretouched" picture of supermodel Cindy Crawford, age 48. The photograph is part of the December issue of Marie Claire Mexico and the publication has already confirmed that the image is "real, honest, and beautiful". The photograph has become, however, viral. Cindy Crawford fans, who at the time of the picture was 47 years, have come to applaud the picture, because it's real. This comes in the same week that the "modified" face of Uma Thurman has generated controversy.

Cindy Crawford, twenty years ago, was a part of the "club" of the six biggest supermodels in the world, called the "Big Six". In addition to Crawford, were part of the selection: Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and Chrissy Turlington, who at the time told "Vogue" that models did not come out of bed for less than $10,000 a day. The Beauty of Crawford and her famous measures 34 - 25,5 - 36 led her to be part of the Pepsi advertising or to participate in "House Of Style" on MTV. In 1995, Forbes chose Cindy Crawford as the highest-paid model in the world.

The model left the profession at age 34 in 2000, and last week said to 'Marie Claire': "I really think that, at any age, you must learn to be comfortable in your own skin. If women took care of themselves with the same love they give to friends, that would be a great gift we could offer to ourselves... what makes you more attractive is self-confidence. That's what people see". Crawford also confessed that despite of everything, there's times when that trust lacks: "I do not pretend that I do not, especially at this time. When you are a young model, and you get a call at four in the morning. Now when they ask me to get up at this kind of hours I'm like, 'I get up when you want ... but my face does not like to wake up before 7 or 8. I'll be there, but i'm not sure that you want to take my picture'.

Cindy Crawford is married to entrepreneur Rande Gerber and have two children together: Presley, 15, and Kaia, 13. Kaia already is following her mother's footsteps. At 10 years old she get a campaign for "Young Versace" and last November modeled for "Teen Vogue".
