Salman Khan’s next release which is going to be released this Eid 2019 is “Bharat.” The flick has already been in the news because first Priyanka Chopra was to be the main female lead, but later she withdrew from the project due to her marriage with Nick Jonas.

Film is produced by Salman’s Brother-in-Law, Atul Agnihotri

“Bharat” is a mega project and is produced by Atul Agnihotri, who is Salman Khan’s Brother in Law. He also produced the commercially successful “Bodyguard” starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Salman will don five different looks in this period film.

Salman Khan is reported to be seen in five different getups in this film which chronicles the life of the character during a period of seventy years. The film is losely based on the South Korean Film, “An Ode to My Father”.

Agony of partition recreated

The film is a remake of hit South Korean film “An ode to my father” which chronicles the struggles, trials and tribulations of a man caught in the events pertaining to the Korean War and its ultimate partition. Something similar happens in “Bharat” where the main protagonist lives through the most tragic part of Indian history when it was partitioned into Pakistan and India.

“Bharat” has been approved by our very own Bharat Kumar a.k.a Manoj Kumar. Manoj Kumar hoped that this venture will be successful and his legacy is being carried forward by both Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

“Bharat” is a period film and the events in the history of India like the Partition, the famine, the political upheavals are all entwined and woven into the film. The scenes of Partition have been shot in Punjab and steam locomotives have been used to give a realistic look to the period drama.
