5 horror, thriller and science fiction films coming to Netflix on April 1

This 1972 classic horror film stars Burt Reynolds and Jon Voight and their journey into the redneck backwoods, which becomes a story of survival. The film also features the iconic and classic guitar/banjo duet included below.

I have the DVD of the “Fifth Element” and am not ashamed to say I’ve watched it at least five times. If you haven’t already seen it, do yourself a big favour and stream it. Bruce Willis, Gary Oldman and Milla Jovovich star, with a small role by the late Luke Perry. It is one gigantic space opera with a lot of action and humour.

Will Smith plays Robert Neville, a brilliant scientist and one of few survivors of a man-made plague that decimated the world, turning humans into bloodthirsty mutants. Neville works on finding a cure for the plague with his own, immune blood, while wandering around New York City on his own. While there are many post-apocalypse series and movies around, this is one of the best.

David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Julianne Moore and Seann William Scott star in this hilarious film, as the only people in the world standing between aliens and world domination. The alien life forms arrive on Earth on a meteor and cause chaos, while our heroes hilariously try to do something about it.

An interracial married couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) move into their first home and everything is blissful until they meet their neighbour, an LAPD Officer (Samuel L. Jackson) in an unusual way, by pretending to car jack them. Things get worse as they realise their neighbour is angered by their interracial relationship.
