Sunday 24 February was Carnival Day in La Cala de Mijas with lots of music, drumming, costumes and great floats heading through the streets.

Superheroes take to the streets of La Cala
It's not every day kids get to meet their favourite superheros. Both the superheroes and the kids had loads of fun.
Dolphins and whales parade in the streets
This smiling man was carrying a dolphin on his back, followed closely by a killer whale.
Drumming and music
These cheerful people were playing the drums rhythmically as they passed by.
Octopus Queen
There was even royalty in the parade, as can be seen from the Octopus Queen below!
Sharks and Killer Whales
The killer whale appears again, this time next to a Great White Shark! It's lucky they are only inflatable models.

The intrepid Ghostbusters were out today, looking for spooks in La Cala.

The Lions Club in La Cala raises money for the needy, with them having most recently raised 74,000 euros. Keep up the great work ladies!
