India's tour of Australia 2018-19 kicked off with the T20I series, which ended in a 1-1 draw. India will start clear favourites in this Test series and here is why this could be the best chance for Virat Kohli and Co. to win a Test series in Australia:
The absence of senior pros
The absence of Steve Smith and David Warner has somewhat jolted the confidence of the Australian side in recent times. Both of the batsmen have played key roles for the hosts in the past, and their experience is something Australia will miss the most.
India's pace brigade in great form
India has Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Bhuvaneshwer Kumar and Umesh Yadav. The fact that India's pace bowlers have started to dominate in overseas conditions has been a delight for everyone to watch. According to a Cricbuzz report, the Indian pacers have together picked up 132 wickets this year, most taken by them ever.

Australia's recent poor form
Since the ball-tampering saga earlier this year, Australia has hit a new low. They have not won a single Test after the departure of Smith and Warner, while their limited-overs form has been forgettable too.

Batting heavy Indian squad
India failed to win series' this year in England and South Africa, but much of that could be blamed on the batters and the difficult batting conditions in both the countries. Most the Indian batters are travelling to Australia for at least the second time, and their experience from the first occasion could help them in batting friendly conditions down under.
Virat Kohli's awesome form with the bat
Captain Kohli has played eight Tests in this country and scored five centuries, four of which came in the last series in 2014. Kohli is undoubtedly the best batsman in the world, and his current form could be threatening for the Aussies.
