Netflix: 5 Christmas movies to binge before the holidays

Many people are looking forward to the festivities of Christmas, now only a few weeks away. However, as noted by Esquire, if you are having trouble getting into the festive mood, this selection of movies, available for streaming now on Netflix, might do the job.

Varying from the classics, like "White Christmas" to the fun side of the Grinch, there is a great selection available to binge right now. As noted by Bustle, there's even a couple of new Netflix Original Christmas movies to watch.

1

‘White Christmas’ starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye

This old Christmas staple is still worth watching during a pre-Christmas binge. The movie stars Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye as two former GIs and the two sisters, played by Rosemary Clooney (George Clooney's aunt) and Vera-Ellen who catch the guys’ eyes. The four team up to put on a variety show in an attempt to save an inn from being closed. The title song is one often played over the Christmas period, but there is great music and entertainment throughout the film.

'How the Grinch stole Christmas'

“How the Grinch stole Christmas” is a film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ Christmas story about the reclusive Grinch, played hilariously by comedian and actor Jim Carrey. The green Grinch makes up his mind to ruin Christmas for the residents of Whoville. He heads down from his home in the mountains with his dog, Max, stealing everything Christmas-related from the residents, known as the Whos. However along the way, the Grinch encounters Cindy Lou Who (played by Taylor Momsen) who upsets his plans.
