Google Pixel 2 is arriving this year, although, the company hasn’t yet revealed the releasing date of the upcoming smartphone. Based on the reports, the new Pixel 2 might be launched this summer and not only one, but there are two more models expected to arrive.
Three Pixel 2 Models
According to the source, the new Pixel phone has three internal code names; the Muskie, Walleye and Taimen. Tech experts and enthusiasts believe that these code names refer to the different model of the new Pixel phone.
As of now, there is still no concrete information what are the differences in these Google Pixel 2 models.
It is more probably in sizes and memory like the other companies’ flagship devices with different variants, or the Pixel XL 2 and another new bigger or smaller device.
Specs & Features
Previously, the Google Pixel 2 is rumored to arrive with the latest mobile specs, such as the 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor chip with 4GB of RAM capacity. Predictions have also suggested that a benchmarking test have already been conducted on this smartphone, and according to this test, it has been capable of scoring 1,804 in single-core testing and 6,248 in multi-core. The unrevealed Android O is also expected to arrive along with this new Pixel phone, since the new OS has been in the rumours lately, some experts believe that a new Android version might launch this year.
Not only the internal features are expected to improve this time, but also the outer design as well. On the previous months, the company is reportedly investing to the OLED displays to use in the upcoming Pixel 2 phone. It seems that since the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 debuted the full screen display, other upcoming smartphones like the Pixel 2 and iPhone 8 are expected to do the same.
Price
According to the reports, the new Pixel phone will be a budget-friendly device. A possible $650 USD price tag for the upcoming device in the US, and despite of this cheaper price, it is believed that the handset will feature a superior camera to the recent iPhone release.
