In celebration of brisk sales of the Huawei P9 smartphone (P9), Huawei hosted a celebration in Shenzhen, China with its glamorous global product ambassador Scarlett Johansson and her fans.

A photography enthusiast, Hollywood celebrity Scarlett Johansson shared her experiences using the new Smartphone and engaged with fans in China at the event. She said Huawei P9’s excellent camera gives her greater confidence to capture every moment.

Changzhu Li, Vice President of Huawei Consumer Business Group’s Handset Business, revealed that the brand-new-product has exceeded 9 million in sales globally since its launch in April, making it Huawei’s first high-end flagship smartphone with a sales volume projected to exceed 10 million.

“In the last six months since its launch, the P9 has received rave reviews by photography enthusiasts and consumers alike for its ground-breaking dual lens that was crafted in partnership with Leica,” said Li.

It was the first smartphone from the collaboration between Huawei and the global iconic camera brand Leica, resulting in a stunning dual-lens camera in a smartphone. Immediately upon its release, it set a new benchmark in smartphone camera technology, with more light and better clarity, to capture brilliant colour and striking black and white images in true Leica style.
