Journey so far

Peshawar Zalmi ended the group stages with a handsome win over Karachi Kings, which handed them the first position on the points table.

The Darren Sammy led side has won seven out of their 10 league games with three losses. On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators led by Sarfaraz Ahmed also won seven of their league games to secure the second position on the points table.

Quetta strong batting v Peshawar balanced bowling

Shane Watson has been quite successful with the bat giving Quetta good starts throughout this season.

If the Gladiators were to make it to the final directly, Watson would have to play another gem of an innings.

Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad and Rilee Rossouw for the batting core and together they would hold the key for this side. Sohail Tanvir has been the silver lining in Gladiators' bowling so far in this season and in the Qualifier he will be crucial to their chances.

Peshawar Zalmi's bowling has been their key in their journey so far in the tournament. Hasan Ali with 21 wickets and Wahab Riaz with 13 wickets have contributed heavily in a tough situation to take their side till here.

Their batting has been quite dependent of Imam-ul-Haq who has been constantly performing well for the side while Kamran Akmal played a superb knock in the last league game on his arrival to Pakistan. So, all in all, Peshawar, who already won the tournament once have a heavy chance of making their third final appearance on March 17.
