Krunal Pandya will debut for India in today's match. In the past three IPLs, he is one of only five players to have scored over 500 runs and taken 25 wickets.
Time for him to shine at the international level. Krunal has recovered after he underwent surgery for shoulder tear. His brother Hardik is already on the national side.
Kohli rested for T20 series
While Virat Kohli has been rested ahead of the touch Australian tour, MS Dhoni was dropped from the T20 squad and the upcoming series. Rohit Sharma who has done exceptionally well with the bat and captainship will lead the young Indian side. Shahbaz Nadeem and Khaleel Ahmed have also been named for this series.
The West Indies team after losing the ODI series 3-1, have called all their big stalwarts for the T20 series.
Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Darren Bravo are all back in India for the series.

Courtney Browne out of the series due to injury
But unfortunately, Courtney Browne, the chairman of selectors, said Russell was "injured" and his name has been withdrawn from the T20 series.
Most of the players who are part of the T20 squad have played the IPL for various franchisees and know the Indian pitches very well, particularly, Kolkatta's Eden Garden which can accommodate more than one lakh spectators. With many hard hitters in the team, the Windies are expected to give a tough fight to the Indians.
