The Australian Cricket summer of 2018-19 will kick off in Perth when the hosts face South Africa in the first ODI at the Perth Stadium on Sunday, November 4, 2018. The match will start at 11:20 AM local, 3:20 AM GMT.
Australia will be playing against the Proteas in a three-match ODI series followed by one T20I before India arrive at their shore for playing three T20Is, four Tests and three ODIs.
Online streaming and TV details
Fox Sports channel will be providing the live coverage of the series in Australia. SuperSport will telecast the entire tour on its network in South Africa.
Foxtel sports app and website will avail the live streaming options for its subscribers in Australia. SonyLiv will also provide the online streaming option in India and its subcontinent.
Australia to begin the summer with a new captain
Australia has a new ODI captain in Aaron Finch to carry the team until the new year's World Cup. Tim Paine surprisingly stepped away from the ODI side and decided to focus on Test cricket. Australia's record has been simply miserable in the ODI format in recent times.
According to ESPN Cricinfo, the Aussies have managed to win only two of their last 20 one-day games. With a new leader in-charge, the hosts will look to turn things around before they finally arrive in England next year to defend their world cup title.
South Africa recently lost the tour match against the Prime Minister's XI in Canberra. The Proteas side is likely to be the same one which featured in that game.

The visitors are without their two most experienced players: Hashim Amla and Jean-Paul Duminy.
Even though their batting line-up doesn't lack talent, it's the experience and the consistency which is a concern for the side.
The Perth stadium will host its second ODI after the only game played between Australia and England earlier this year. The pitch had a slight bit of grass on it making the new ball swing. Batting won't be too much of a concern and we can expect both the sides getting to a reasonable total.
