Both teams likely to go unchanged

Cricbuzz reported that the Australian skipper Tim Paine confirmed in a press conference that the side will pick same top 6, while Paine himself will bat at no. 7. With that in mind, it also unlikely that the visitors will make any sort of changes in the bowling combination.

Australia's massive day five fightback in the last Test made it obvious that the side has the ability to perform well in the sub-continental conditions.

Pakistan would have been disappointed with the result from the first Test.

With 462 runs to defend with one and half days in the game left, Pakistan would take a note of their mistakes. Even though the bowling performance wasn't that good in the second innings, it is unlikely that Sarfaraz Ahmed will make any changes to his side. Pakistan's record in Abu Dhabi is quite good, but it will take some really good cricket from them to see through the Aussies.

The pitch in Abu Dhabi assists spinners much more than seamers. With reserve swing to come in the game later, batters will take heart in the fact that this pitch has a reputation to be somewhat batting friendly. Batting might get difficult towards the end of the Test with the pitch tearing apart slowly and the cracks will obviously benefit the spinners.
