Pakistan favorite to win

The Pakistan players are fully accustomed to the Dubai and Abu Dhabi pitches and have won 10 T20 series in a row. They have announced an unchanged T20 squad that beat Australia recently. The win against the Aussies on Sunday was Sarfraz Ahmed's 26th in 30 T20 matches as captain. Waqas Maqsood is the only player who did not play against Australia. Hopefully, he might get a change in this game.

Shoaib Malik is expected to be back in the side on Wednesday after his wife and international Tennis player Sania Mirza gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday.

On the other hand, New Zealand have not played international cricket for the last seven months and it will take some time to get used to the UAE climate and pitches.

Pitch on a slower side

The Abu Dhabi pitch has been slow throughout the season and the ball doesn't come to the bat as a T20 batsman would like it to.

The Australians had a hard time batting on these tracks as on one occasion they got out for a paltry 89 runs. Pakistan now has a unique distinction of bowling out an opposition team on 30 occasions.
