Teenager Shaw shines with a century on debut
Windies did get a good start as Shannon Gabriel got KL Rahul out for a duck in the first over.
But, after that first over everything went downhill for the tourists. Debutant Shaw combined with Chesteshwar Pujara to build a partnership with a good run-rate. Both the batsmen brought up their respective fifties by the lunch break as India put on 133-1 in the first session.
18-year-old Shaw continued his fine form after the Lunch bringing on his maiden Test century in just 99 balls.
Pujara was finally dismissed on 86 after a huge partnership of 206 runs with the debutant. A lapse in concentration meant Shaw lost his wicket to Devendra Bishoo in the last over before the tea break after scoring 134 runs. India ended the second session at a score of 232-3.

Kohli unbeaten on 72 at Stumps
Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane combined together in a good century partnership taking the Indian innings forward.
Virat Kohli brought his 20th Test fifty, as the pair didn't seem to be troubled by the ordinary bowling of the Windies attack.
Roston Chase removed Rahane for 41 runs late in the third session to give some hope for recovery to the visitors. Rishabh Pant along with Kohli took India to the end of day's play with a score of 364 for 4.
