D'Arcy Short, Chris Lynn and Glenn Maxwell have been in good form in the domestic 50-over tournament, while captain Aaron Finch had to good start to his Test career in the UAE against Pakistan earlier this month. Crictracker predicted that Ben McDermott could make his T20 debut while Alex Carey will continue his role as the wicketkeeper in the T20I side.

The visitors are expected to rest some players like Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Nathan Coulter-Nile for this match, keeping in mind the three-match T20I series against Pakistan starting on October 24.

Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa will find a place as the two spinners.

The pitch in Abu Dhabi has generally been good for batting and would continue to be the same for this one-off clash. With the match starting in the afternoon rather than evening, the conditions are expected to be really tough for the players. The temperatures are likely to stay slightly above 30 degrees, with the stadium completely baked in sunshine.
