India favourites with key players back
India rested five of their key players in last Super Four clash against Afghanistan on Tuesday. Cricbuzz reports, openers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan along with Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal will come back into the side for the final.
Rohit is likely to return as the captain after MS Dhoni-led India in the previous game in his absence. India has looked the strongest team in this tournament so far and has been unbeaten, which clearly makes them favourites to win the final.
Bangladesh's third appearance in the Final of Asia Cup
Bangladesh achieved an outstanding win against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to qualify for the final of the Asia Cup for the third time.
Even though their top-order once again failed to give Bangladesh a good start, the middle-order somehow managed to get the team to a competitive score.
For the final, the onus will be on the experienced players such as Mushfiqur Rahim, captain Mashrafe Mortaza, and Mahmudallah to deliver the goods in the absence of key players like Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal.
According to ESPN Cricinfo, Bangladesh is unlikely to make any changes to their XI which played Pakistan in that crucial game.
The pitch in Dubai has not been such a mystery in this tournament so far. It has been slow and assisted the spinners quite a lot.
For the final, it is unlikely to be any different. Batting should easier in the second innings, with the temperatures dropping below 40 degrees after sunset.
