After an action-packed weekend, the English Premier League 2018-19 witnessed another classic matchup between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Live updates:
Manchester United 0-3 Spurs
The last time these two teams faced each other was in the semi-finals of the FA Cup earlier this year. Manchester United had won that game 2-1 in front of a packed house at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Man Utd under the pump
Manchester United are coming into this game after losing 3-2 to Brighton and Hove Albion last week away from home.
United has played two games this season so far, winning 2-1 against Leiscter City and losing the other one. They are placed at the ninth position on the Premier League table.
Manchester United would be hurting after the loss against Brighton and would look to come back with a good performance at home. Tottenham Hotspur has enjoyed two good matches this season. The London-based club first beat Newcastle 2-1 and then went on to defeat Fulham 3-1 last week. They are currently placed at the sixth position on the Premier League table.
There is a home advantage that Manchester United would be depending on. In fact, Tottenham hasn't won a single time at Old Trafford in the previous five games, scoring only one time.
