The third ODI between India and England will take place at Headingley, Yorkshire. India will try to win the series which is tied at 1-1. It needs to be seen if India will do a repeat of T20I series when it was 1-1 before it came back to win the decider and clinch the series or concede the series to England.

India won the T20I series and also won the first ODI comfortably. However, England won the second ODI and defeated India convincingly by 86 runs. India is a dangerous team and is most destructive after humiliating defeats. India will like their top order to click, and this includes Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli.

Dhoni's form a cause of concern for India

Dhoni’s form also looks much in doubt.

Of late he has not been in the role of each finisher as in the past. The middle order is also in good form with Suresh Raina and Hardik Pandya in good shape except for the aberration in the second ODI.

The bowling department looks good with Kuldeep Yadav continuing to haul wickets by the sack full. The only cause of worry is Yazvendra Chahal who has not been in the wickets but has maintained a tight line and length.

The two Indian pacers Umesh Yadav and Siddharth Kaul have been economical. However, their bowling lacks depth which is vital for getting wickets.

Jason Roy doubtful after injury

The English team is also facing problems.

After their convincing win against the visitors in which both the opens played a crucial part, it is reported that Jason Roy has hurt his finger and his playing in the third ODI is suspect. Key to the English batting will be Joe Root who served the sheet anchor with his century in the last match.

Speedster Liam Plunkett must be giving nightmares to the Indian batting lineup, and if he can provide early wickets, it will put visitors under pressure. Moen Ali and Adil Rashid is also learning fast and will keep them in good stead in future after their baptism with fire, against one of the best spin playing batsmen in the world.
